Swing Better, Play Longer

Want to hit longer, smoother shots and keep injuries off the scorecard? At PhysioHealth, we help golfers move better, improve their performance, and prevent injuries all together. We want you to enjoy every time you hit the course.

You’ll often find Kris, our Golf Physio, out on the greens around the Illawarra. He’s certified with the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and knows exactly how to spot movement restrictions that could be holding back your swing. This combined with his extensive physiotherapy experience and his big love for golf, your swing and overall game is in good hands!

Whether you’re a social golfer or chasing serious competition, Kris will help you improve flexibility, stability, and power, so you can swing more efficiently, hit stronger shots, and keep playing the game you love, pain-free.

Golf Injury Assessment & Treatment

Nothing excites Kris more than helping an injured golfer get back on the course. He’s an expert in diagnosing and treating golf-related injuries, whether it’s a stubborn golfer’s elbow, a stiff big toe affecting your weight transfer, or a more complex issue. With a deep understanding of movement and rehabilitation, he will aim to get you swinging pain-free and playing your best.

TPI Golf Assessment

The TPI golf assessment is a 16 step analysis protocol developed by Dr Greg Rose and some of the leading health experts at Titleist. This is an assessment tool that was created from collecting a massive sample of data from PGA tour players and finding out where their bodies really excelled compared to amateur golfers.

We use the TPI movement screen to identify physical limitations that may be affecting your swing mechanics. This assessment helps us create a customised plan to improve mobility, stability, and overall performance.

Personalised Golf Strength & Mobility Program

Through targeted strength and mobility exercises, we help golfers develop the flexibility and stability required for an optimal swing. The coordination of an efficient golf swing is hard enough even with a perfect body.

Our programs are designed to ensure the only thing affecting your score is your technique (well, that and the weather, bad luck, a tough lie, faulty equipment, a few drinks the night before or that bird that squawked mid-backswing). But at least your body won’t be holding you back!

Video Swing Analysis

Video analysis is a powerful tool for bridging the gap between what your swing feels like and what’s actually happening. While not required for your appointment, providing a down-the-line and face-on video of your swing can provide valuable insights. This allows Kris to connect physical findings from your assessment to specific swing patterns, helping you understand how your body’s movement may influence your game.

Collaboration with Golf Coaches

If you are working with a golf coach we can pass on the your assessment results and work together to get you shooting lower scores.

Not every movement limitation can be fixed – but understanding them is key to optimizing your game. During your assessment, we’ll identify areas that can be improved with training and mobility work, as well as any limiting factors or past injuries that may affect your swing. Sharing these insights with your coach ensures that your swing is both effective and safe, helping you avoid injury while playing at your best.

Collaboration with Club Fitters

At PhysioHealth we work closely with local club fitters to ensure that you have the best equipment that suits your swing. Having clubs that fit your game is so important for shooting the best score but also for injury prevention.

Let us know if you are looking to purchase a new club (or set?) and we can provide recommendations based on your assessment.
