Wollongong born and bred, Pete was drawn to physiotherapy from an early age – work experience in year 10, to be exact! With an interest in anatomy and physiology (and his own experience of three knee reconstructions!), Pete has a passion for helping people to recover from injury and making a difference in the life of his patients.
As a former representative soccer player and team physiotherapist, Pete has worked with many athletes – and weekend warriors! – to get them back on track and game fit. He’s also worked with rehabilitation patients in hospitals, both as an exercise physiologist and physiotherapist.
Areas of interest:
- Knee injuries
- Sports injuries
- General physiotherapy
Highlights working at PhysioHealth:
The team are helpful and welcoming – regardless of the role you have, everyone is treated equally.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I ride motorbikes and trail bikes – maybe not the safest hobby for a Physio!
Cheese – definitely Mozzarella! It turns out I’m lactose intolerant though and, being from a Greek family, it’s hard to live with! Lactose-free cheese isn’t that great.
What do you love about Wollongong?
Outdoor activities. Closeness of beaches and mountains – we’ve got a great summer lifestyle. It’s relaxed and easy going, I can’t complain about it!
